Education Foundation Seeks Nominations for 2022 Education Hall of Fame

The Henderson County Education Foundation is seeking nominations for the 2022 Education Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame provides an opportunity for special recognition of men and women who have demonstrated measurable influence or made significant contributions to the growth and development of education in Henderson County.

The Hall also provides the community with a focus for preserving the County’s rich educational history. As one of only five Education Hall of Fame programs in North Carolina, membership involves the selection of up to five nominees for induction each year. Since its founding in 2003, over 130 teachers, administrators, support staff, school board members and donors have been honored.

New this year, HCEF is using an online platform for the nomination process. A paper nomination form is available upon request. Nominations for inclusion in the 2022 Education Hall of Fame Class must be submitted to the Foundation by 5 pm, January 3, 2022. Detailed guidelines for selection criteria and nomination instructions can be found by CLICKING HERE. For questions regarding the nomination process, email [email protected] or call 828-697-5551.

Those selected for induction into the 2022 Class will be announced in February 2022 and honored at the annual Education Celebration event scheduled for April 26, 2022 at Jeter Mountain Farm. Members of the Hall are also honored in a display at the Central Office building of the Henderson County Public Schools.
