Henderson County Education Foundation continues its mission to bring The Leader in Me program more Henderson County Public Schools, but we can’t get there without you. Currently, there are thirteen Leader in Me schools in Henderson County: Apple Valley Middle School, Atkinson, Dana, Edneyville, Fletcher, Hillandale, Mills River, Rugby Middle School, Clear Creek, Sugarloaf, Upward, Hendersonville Elementary & North Henderson High School.

The Leader in Me is Franklin Covey’s whole school transformation process. It teaches 21st century leadership and life skills to students and creates a culture of student empowerment based on the idea that every child can be a leader.

Future Leaders Today

Since launching LIM in 2012, we have seen the results first-hand in the areas of leadership, culture, and academics. Along with the Community Foundation of Henderson County, private donors, and grants, your Henderson County Education Foundation and Henderson County Public Schools are committed to bring LIM to more schools.

Our elementary and middle LIM schools rank in the top 10% of the nation and North Henderson ranks in the top 1% of high schools in the nation. Currently, 7000+ students and 580+ staff have been empowered with leadership and life skills.

We have seen the excitement of children as they serve in leadership roles, have voice and choice in decision making, and share their pride for reaching personal and academic goals.

We have seen the excitement of staff members as their voices are heard and their genius valued. We have witnessed the pride in families as they become true learning partners with our schools and see ownership and empowerment in their children. We have seen school cultures change and academics soar as a result of LIM.

We invite you to join this powerful adventure as we sustain our current schools and add additional ones to our LIM family. With your support, we can change lives and build a community of learners and leaders who are equipped for success in life.
