Hendersonville, NC (Sept., 2023): The Henderson County Education Foundation (HCEF) is delighted to announce the opening of the nomination window for the prestigious 2024 Education Hall of Fame. The nomination window will be open from September 11, 2023 to January 5, 2024.

The Education Hall of Fame honors outstanding individuals who have demonstrated measurable influence and made significant contributions to the growth and development of education in Henderson County. Nominees may include educators, teaching assistants, bus drivers, support personnel, administrators, Board members, volunteers, donors, and community leaders who have directly impacted education.

Nominations can be submitted online through our website at: https://hcefnc.org/ourwork/halloffame/

where you will also find detailed information on eligibility criteria and the selection process. We encourage the community to participate actively in nominating deserving individuals who have left a lasting legacy in education.

One of only five Education Halls of Fame in North Carolina, membership in the HCEF Hall of Fame involves the selection of up to five nominees for induction each year. Since the Hall of Fame was founded in 2003, 148 esteemed members have been inducted. Their photos are on a special wall at the central office for Henderson County Public Schools.

The Henderson County Education Foundation is committed to advancing the cause of education in our community. The Hall of Fame awards are one of the many ways we honor and celebrate those who have made extraordinary contributions to our schools.
