Henderson County Public Schools;
A Leadership District

The Henderson County Education Foundation continues its mission to develop leadership schools where students are taught 21st-century leadership and life skills, creating a culture of student empowerment based on the belief that every child can be a leader.

Future Leaders Today

Since launching the Leader in Me (LIM) program in 2012, we have witnessed significant positive changes in leadership, culture, and academics. Together with the Community Foundation of Henderson County, private donors, and grants, the Henderson County Education Foundation and Henderson County Public Schools are committed to expanding LIM to more schools.

Our elementary and middle LIM schools rank in the top 10% nationwide, and North Henderson ranks in the top 1% of high schools in the nation. Currently, over 15,000 students and more than 1,000+ staff members have been empowered with leadership and life skills through the LIM program.

We have seen the excitement in children as they serve in leadership roles, have voice and choice in decision-making, and take pride in achieving their personal and academic goals.

We have observed the enthusiasm of staff members as their voices are heard and their talents recognized. We have witnessed the pride in families as they become true learning partners with our schools, seeing their children take ownership and feel empowered.

The transformation in school cultures and the resulting academic improvements are a testament to the success of LIM.

Join us in our mission to empower the next generation of leaders. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our students and our community.

Leader In Me

We invite you to join this powerful adventure as we sustain our current schools and add additional ones to our LIM family. With your support, we can change lives and build a community of learners and leaders who are equipped for success in life.
