Supporting hands-on Outdoor Education in Henderson County Public Schools
HCEF supports hands-on outdoor learning experiences that connect students to the outdoor spaces in their backyards. These experiences provide intentional opportunities for students to learn in an interdisciplinary way that enhances classroom learning and incorporates exploration and active play into learning.
Henderson County Education Foundation is proud to partner with Mountain Roots to offer nature-based science programs that integrate with NC science standards, providing students with experiential learning and hands-on exploration of natural spaces outside the classroom.
