40 Years. Countless Futures.
Help Us Plant the Seeds for the Next 40 Years.
For 40 years, the Henderson County Education Foundation has believed in the power of community support to create greater opportunities for students, educators, and schools.
On October 8, 1986, HCEF was founded by a group of community leaders with a vision for strengthening education in Henderson County. Today, that vision has grown into a foundation supporting all 23 Henderson County Public Schools.
And none of it happens without you.
40 Years of Investing in Education
During the 2025–2026 school year alone, HCEF invested more than $900,000 in programs, resources, scholarships, and opportunities for Henderson County Public Schools.
That investment included:
Nearly $185,000 in scholarships supporting nearly 100 students and HCPS employees
85 educator mini-grants totaling more than $26,000 and creating approximately 15,000 student impacts
Investments in leadership development, mentoring, literacy, STEM, the arts, outdoor education, and educator development
Spring Fund support for all 23 principals, giving school leaders flexible resources to help students overcome barriers to learning
These numbers represent more than dollars. They represent students discovering their potential, educators bringing new ideas into their classrooms, and schools having the resources they need to help every child succeed.
Now, We're Looking Toward the Next 40.

A harvest doesn’t happen overnight.
It begins with a seed, planted long before the fruit appears.
For 40 years, our community has planted seeds of opportunity through HCEF. Those investments have helped students learn, educators grow, and schools become stronger.
Today, we have the opportunity to plant the next generation of seeds.
Your gift today can help shape Henderson County for the next 40 years.
