Spring Fund

Each year, the Henderson County Education Foundation gifts every HCPS principal with $1,000 in discretionary funds to meet day-to-day emergencies and other needs faced by some of the district’s most vulnerable children.

Your continued support has made an incredible impact on the lives of our students, allowing us to provide essential resources and opportunities that they may not have otherwise had access to. Your donations have enabled us to address a wide range of needs, from basic necessities to enriching experiences that contribute to their overall growth and well-being. continued support has made an  opportunities that they may not have otherwise had access to.

I am pleased to share with you some of the ways in which your funds have been utilized:

Vision Care: Your donations have helped provide eyeglasses for students who were in need, whether it was to replace broken ones, keep a pair at school for emergencies, or simply because they were unable to afford them. Your support ensures that these students can see clearly and participate fully in their education.

Clothing Assistance: With your generosity, we were able to stock school clothing closets with essential items and provide winter coats to students in need. Your contributions have helped ensure that no child goes without proper clothing, especially during the colder months.

Emergency Assistance: Your funds have been instrumental in providing gas cards, food bags, school supplies, and field trip expenses for students facing unexpected challenges. Whether it’s a sudden need for a warm meal or the opportunity to participate in a meaningful education excursion, your support has helped alleviate the burdens faced by these students and their families.

Community Outreach: Your generosity has extended beyond our school walls, allowing us to support a homeless family by providing them with temporary shelter in a hotel during the cold weather. Your kindness and compassion have made a profound difference in their lives, offering them hope and stability during a challenging time.

Your commitment to the well-being and success of our students is truly commendable, and we are immensely grateful for your continued partnership. Your support not only fulfills immediate needs but also fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment within our school community.

As we look to the future, we hope to continue our work in providing essential resources and opportunities for all our students. With your ongoing support, we can ensure that every child has the chance to thrive and reach their full potential.

Once again, thank you for your incredible generosity and dedication to the children of Henderson County Public Schools. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and support.
