Peggy motivated educational excellence and good behavior during over 30 years of teaching fourth graders at Balfour Elementary School. Patient, respectful of others and compassionate, often assigned the most challenging students in the school. She put joy into her teaching. Named Balfour Teacher of the Year in 1985 and inducted into Alpha Delta Kappa International Sorority for Educators in 1997.
