Pete_YoungbloodPete Youngblood worked hard for education. Henderson County School Board Chairman from 1954-1970, during the “Foster-Youngblood” administration, Pete modernized county schools through major consolidation in 1960. School construction and additions included Edneyville and Hillandale Elementary. He lobbied groups and individuals to gain public support for consolidation of six high schools into three including East and West High Schools.
