Barbara (Susie) Brown led Balfour Elementary School into the computer age as its first librarian and media coordinator. Reliable, resourceful, smart, and loyal, her contagious laugh made students and parents alike feel comfortable. She inspired students with her love of reading and literature. Through her efforts, “…the library became a beehive of exciting, creative and wonderful opportunities for children to learn.”
