The Kyle Shirlin Art Scholarship, is available for a promising visual arts or photography student who will be majoring in the visual arts or photography while attending a college or university. The one-year, non-renewable award in the amount of $1000 was established in 2016 to provide support to one graduating senior, or a recent graduate from 2015 or 2016 from any Henderson County Public High School.  An emphasis will be placed on artistic ability and recommendation from the Visual Arts teacher in selection of the recipient.

Qualifications
Student will:

  • be a 2015, 2016, or 2017 graduate from a Henderson County Public High School.
  • be nominated for consideration by the school’s visual arts teacher.
  • major or study visual arts or photography while attending a community college, or an accredited-college or university.

Requirements While Enrolled in College

  • Student will provide the Foundation with reports of enrollment, grades and academic status.
